If you haven’t heard of Loewe (pronounced as Lo-EE-vay), then put down your Balenciaga and Bottega bags and give this a quick read!
Loewe is a Spanish luxury fashion house from the romantic city of Madrid. Founded in 1846, Loewe is LVMH’s oldest luxury house.
Today, the brand is making strides within the luxury fashion world partly due to the brand’s creative director—Jonathan Anderson.
Anderson claims craftsmanship is the definition of real luxury and we at eliteUSA tend to agree.
When we consider the massive success of Hermés, we cannot stop but think that quality and craftsmanship have a lot to do with the high demand for these products.
“Crafts, tradition, and innovation have always driven the company,” says Enrique Loewe Lynch, the honorary president of the Loewe Foundation. “Craftsmanship has been to Loewe like oxygen to plants. It has been of vital importance in its search for beauty and passion. I think we legitimately represent Spain in this search.” Anderson pushes the envelope to find a happy juxtaposition between fashion and art.
Most recently, celebrities in the U.S. such as ASAP Rocky have been spotted donning Loewe’s heart balaclavas from their autumn/winter 2022 runway collection.
Although Loewe has been worn by celebrities from the beginning, it has shifted to a mainstream clientele and is here to give Gucci, Balenciaga and Bottega Venetta a run for their money.
